( March 2007,Halifax) - The folk rock band Trans Akadi is ready for their 2007 tour and the launch of their second album. The boys are anxious to hit the stage and rock out with their new songs for both Canadian and European crowds. Over the last year, this five member group has declined many invitations to perform in order to concentrate on the production of their new album and to aptly prepare for a spectacular comeback.
During their strongest time, between 1995 and 2001, Trans Akadi performed over 400 shows throughout Canada, primarily in Acadie and Quebec, as well as a few short tours in Europe. One of many highlights of the band`s earlier days included a rockin` performance to 25000 at FrancoFolies de Montreal in 1999. Known for their energy, talent and dynamic style, Trans Akadi has never shyed away from large crowds. Despite the size of their audiences, the band has earned a reputation for inspiring a sense of celebration, pride and even closeness among their listeners everywhere they go.
Trans Akadi is back on the scene with their 2007 tour and audiences can expect a powerful and explosive show. Their new tunes bring legendary Acadien stories together with edgy and electrifying music that appeals to listeners across generations. But this folk rock band doesn`t limit itself lyrically and delivers songs of modern social and cultural significance. Trans Akadi is truly a dynamic group.
The Trans Akadi 2007 tour is coming soon... to an event near you!
